Macular Regeneration Tonic
This tonic contains the best herbs for the symptoms of AMD (age-related macular degeneration), and to help protect against its onset and progress. We also have eyedrops for use in an eyebath for those who have AMD. This tonic is a specific herbal tonic for Age Related Macular Degeneration.

Age related macular degeneration is usually referred to “severe irreversible vision loss” when the outer portion of the retina deteriorates. However, recent research proves that this is not true.
Dry Macular – this is a gradually progressing condition taking many years or even decades. This condition means that there are no leaky blood vessels (as in the wet type). This form usually begins in one eye than affects the other eye as well.
Wet Macular – this is said to progress fast so that the person affected notices significant vision loss even within weeks or months. But there is effective treatment which the orthodox haven’t caught onto yet. Here, the blood vessels leak and blood gets into the macular area which is responsible for central vision. This causes sudden changes in vision. It can cause an abnormal growth of blood vessels (angiogenisis) under the retina and spread (leak) around the area. Our herbal tonic contains anti-angiogenisis herbs to resist this progress. Treatment is to dry up the leaking, spreading blood vessels (anti-VEGF – vascular endothelial growth factor. Causes
The causes of these conditions aren’t known exactly. But it has been established that high blood pressure, stress, overweight, and a history of immune system compromise contribute to the condition. The condition affects the middle of the vision in one or both eyes. Obesity worsens the condition and it can spread more quickly. To improve the condition and hold it back we recommend a healthy ketogenic diet (see my page on this where I speak about weight loss). Symptoms are blurry vision with crooked lines, colours are less bright, faded and illusions (seeing things that are not there).

Treatment
